I like mint and chocolate but this recipe’s kinda meh. Will not try again.
Happy new year! Not a failed file but I didn’t liked it. I like mint and I like chocolate but this brownie is too fudgy for my liking, it’s like eating slabs of chocolate lol.
Recipe from: https://sortedfood.com/recipe/mintchocbrownie
Another failed file! And I can’t be bothered with taking a picture of the failed biscuits.
- Ran out of caster sugar and tried to be gung-ho and used normal granulated sugar instead -> texture of the biscuit was so bad, obvious granulated sugar crunchiness to the biscuit
- Not sure if it’s me or the recipe, the biscuit dough was so crumbly. So difficult to roll out and handle in general -> so frustrating
- Overall too sweet and rich -> chocolate overload
- Unknowingly used expired chocolate -> hope I won’t lao sai
Not going to make this again. Still edible but hard to finish them up lol. School’s really busy these days T.T
Finally managed to fight off laziness and brought my proper camera out. Hoorays. There’s definitely a difference in photo qualities but I think I might have overexposed the photos a little bit. Anyways! I felt like I haven’t had some chocolate cake in a long time and so I decided to make brownies again! Cakey brownies for the first time! Continue reading
I’m starting to feature more of my fridge as I’m getting lazier and lazier. Photo qualities are getting worse as I’m just using my phone camera to take a picture inside my fridge these days. But I just had an inspiration to copy this box text thing from some magazine so hopefully I will get inspired to stop the photo qualities from deteriorating further. Continue reading
So I ended my busy 6 modules semester a few weeks back and celebrated by making a layered cake. I’ve always failed miserably at making layered cakes and wanted to make a proper one badly. But I don’t want to make another swiss meringue buttercream cake/cupcake and I still have yet to recover my faith in whipped cream so I decided to try a fudge frosting instead. Continue reading
While I was on exchange in London, I took a free copy of the Tesco magazines and spotted a recipe for black velvet cupcakes. It was my first time hearing about black velvet and so I marked the recipe down to try when I return back to Singapore. So this week, I finally went about making black velvet cupcake. For some reason, I planned to use this BBC Good Food recipe instead of the Tesco recipe and for some reason, I forgot to buy baking powder so I ended up googling at the last minute for a recipe that doesn’t need baking powder. Luckily, the first google result is a recipe that doesn’t require baking powder! Yay!
